Producer Dr. Steven Channing, with a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, brings a distinguished career as historian and filmmaker to creating a fresh look at American stories. He's the founder of Video Dialog Inc. and is responsible for award-winning films such as the regional Emmy winning Alamance, the Civil Rights classic February One, Durham: A Self-Portrait, and Down Home the story of Tar Heel Jews.  All of these are regularly broadcast on UNC-TV, and feature companion-teaching guides distributed to schools statewide. 

Writer-Producer Lue Simopoulos has degrees from the University of North Carolina in English and in Film Production. She has worked in all aspects of video and filmmaking, from managing a 35 mm. commercial film studio, to producing dramatic films and educational videos. Lue produced VDI’s award-winning The Pilgrims of Plymouth, Indians of the Southeast, The Bill of Rights Today, and Loyalty on Trial -- recipient of the American Bar Association’s Silver Gavel Award, the Emmy-Award winning historical drama Alamance, and most recently Down Home: Jewish Life in North Carolina.

Producer/Writer, Usha Rajagopalan holds a Masters degree from the University of Maryland. She is the recipient of the 2008 Durham Arts Council Emerging Artist Grant Award and the 2009 Kathryn Wallace Foundation Community Award. She is a story teller, visual artist and a puppet maker. As a multi disciplinary teaching artist she has been showcasing India's rich traditions, faith and culture in schools, museums and community events throughout North Carolina and beyond.  She served as the first Hindu Chaplin at Duke University from 2011 to 2012. She has been engaged in several inter-faith dialogues and presentations throughout the state to this day.

Co-Producer Rebecca Cerese is an award-winning filmmaker whose first documentary, February One – The Story of the Greensboro Four, was nationally broadcast on the PBSIndependent Lens Series. She has produced and written Landscapes of the Heart: The Elizabeth Spencer Story, Generation of Change: Bill Friday, Terry Sanford and NC from the 1920s-1972, and Change Comes Knocking – The Story of the North Carolina Fund and Co-produced Durham: A Self-Portrait. Rebecca currently serves as Producer for the PBS Series, A Craftsman's Legacy.  

Director of Photography/Editor David Tyson is an award-winning writer, director, cameraman and editor, with over twenty-five years of experience in broadcast television. First cameraman/editor for a full CNN overseas bureau, based in Rome, Italy, his coverage included such events as the civil war in Lebanon, the release of U.S. hostages from Iran and the Solidarity movement in Poland. David has freelanced for nearly every major network and produced press kit footage for over 25 feature films. He is Principal of Tyson Communications, a video and digital media production company in Raleigh, NC.
